There are many different ways to serve at SAF.Church! 
From Sunday service teams like tech, music, and greeting, to serving the community through West Avenue Compassion or upkeep of our public park, we are a church that is committed to serving others. 

Volunteer FAQ

How do I volunteer?

There are 2 easy ways to volunteer:
1. Fill out the form on this page.
2. Fill out a Connector Card, digital or in person on Sunday and mark your Faith Step as "volunteer."
After submitting this form or a Faith Step, you will be contact directly to get started and connect you with the ministry lead for the area in which you wish to serve.

How do I volunteer with kids?

After submitting your form and being contacted, you will be connected with our SAF Kids director. Each volunteer for kids will complete a background check, Ministry Safe training course, and a separate training course covering safety and best practices. 

How do I volunteer with music?

Each person wishing to serve in the SAF*Creative, our worship and creative arts team, will complete an audition and interview process.  More information about commitment schedules and skill requirements will be shared at the time of the audition/interview. For information about rotating in for internship or volunteer hours, please either indicate that on your volunteer request form, or email jackie@saf.church.

How do I volunteer with students?

After submitting your form and being contacted, you will be connected with one of our 210 Youth youth leaders. Each volunteer with youth, including any individual over 18 years old, even if they recently graduated from High School, will complete a background check, Ministry Safe training course, and a separate training course covering safety and best practices.
